One of those evenings....

|
Yesterday, we had one of "those evenings". Our day started out wonderfully. Ellie had been a little nap deprived over the weekend due to our busy schedule and slept 3 hours in the morning.

Everything was going normally. I fed gave her her bottle and a mixture of red peppers, onions and potatoes for dinner. To keep her busy while Dave and I ate dinner, we setup her tray and let her snack on some Cheerios. Then for some reason I decided to try giving her some mashed fruit. Dave and I watched as she tried swallowing a mouth packed with half chewed cereal and banana mush. "Choke"... "gag"... you know what comes next! Luckily, I had a bowl in my hand and was able to catch most of the mess as her whole dinner came back up.

We stripped off her shirt and pants and leaving her with only an undershirt on, and started the dinner process over. By the time she was done eating, she was tired, whiny, drenched in water (she's not yet gotten the hang of using her sippy cup), and covered all over her body with yogurt/cereal.

So off to the bath.

As I removed her diaper to prepare for her bath, she began urinating on the changing pad. Not a huge deal, as I had a clean diaper ready under her. Phew - no mess to clean up. I even tell Dave how glad I was that she peed on the changing pad rather than in the bath. I bring her to the bathroom and just as I'm about to put her in her bath, she poos on the bathroom floor!

That was a LOT of vomit, too. I'm amazed that her little belly could hold that volume of food. I did think for a moment "My goodness, when is it going to stop???"

What a sweet girl. I love her.
