A fun thing I made recently (for Valentines day) are "Irish Car Bomb" cupcakes. For those of you who aren't familiar with the Irish Car Bomb, it's basically an alcoholic drink (which apparently you can't get in Ireland) that's a Guinness beer, with a shot of whisky and a shot of Irish cream, which you're supposed to "pound" before the cream curdles. Hummm... not my kinda drink, but the flavor combination definitely sound good.
I found a recipe for Chocolate Whisky and Beer Cupcakes on one of my favorite food blogs and figured it would be a nice treat. I was too lazy to make the ganache filling and I had to MacGeyver the icing because I didn't have any confectioners sugar, but they turned out very tasty. Here are some photos of the result.

These cupcakes were AMAZING. The were a huge hit at work - people told me that they were the best cupcakes they'd ever eaten!
