On the morning of the 24th, we drove out to Sophie and Luke's house in Annapolis. As with all Liu gatherings, we had way more food than we could possibly consume. Ellie did pretty well considering we all spent the night in Noelle's bedroom. She did wake up crying and hungry at 5 AM and managed to wake up half the house.
After opening gifts and grabbing some breakfast, we sped out to Staunton to spend Christmas day at Todd and Kelly's, where Ellie got to meet Uncle Frosty (the horse). Unfortunately, it was dusk by the time we went out to the pasture and I wasn't able to get a photo. We'll just have to go back to visit some time in the Spring.
On the 26th we were home, frantically trying to get the house ready for my whole family coming over on Saturday. Unfortunately, Dave came down with either food poisoning or the one day flu - we're not sure which. The bout of illness happened to coincide with a nacho lunch at Tippy's Tacos (not recommended unless you have a high tolerance for bad greasy food).
On the 27th, we went to the airport to pick up PoPo (my mother) and Paraic then my whole family came over for dinner. Unfortunately, Cath and Nate weren't able to stay the night or we would have had a truly full house!
Church on Sunday followed by dim sum for lunch out in Wheaton. I have to say, the Siu Mai and baked Char Siu Bao at Hollywood East Cafe are AWESOME!
